Here lies Lucy McCallum (Smith), a widow who died of Cholera in the summer of 1871.
She married local Hugh McCallum in 1818 and had at least one child: a son David who died in 1828, buried closeby within the iron fence. Hugh’s stone also stands next to Lucy’s. An additional McCallum – Amelia, young wife of Robert McCallum – is interred here within the fence as well – I’m unsure of the connection but may be a brother of Hugh.
St. David’s United Church Cemetery, Maitland, Hants Co.
